Worm - Gloomlord [REVIEW]

Worm is a Floridian two-piece that has been active since 2012.

Here we have the band's second full-length; the first having been preceded by a couple of demos.

It sounds exactly as it should do, based on the cover art - strange and wonderful.

More specifically - it is dirty, swampy, eerie, psychedelic blackened funeral death-doom.

And yes, that is an interesting combination of styles; unique isn't a word to be taken lightly, but it might actually be appropriate in this case.

Brought to us by Iron Bonehead, Gloomlord sadly isn't getting a CD release; but it is available on vinyl, cassette and digital formats here.

The atmospheric, immersive offering can also be heard in full below.

*edit* July 2020 has seen CD pressings, from Iron Bonehead and Headsplit.
