Recommended Metal YouTubers

Ten of the best, in no particular order.

Brainsmasher - Vocalist, reviewer, has been involved with labels... and he has been posting videos about his sizable collection for around 2.5 years. Aside from being highly entertaining, Ben will also turn you on to some great metal.

Justin Stubbs - Sings and plays in Father Befouled (among other bands), graphic designer, started YouTubing about his collection earlier this year. Articulate delivery, and worthwhile commentary. One for fans of blackened metal in particular.

Marty Worm - Runs Bindrune Recordings, has been on YouTube for more than three years now. Extremely knowledgeable, and he has eclectic tastes so his channel is recommended regardless of which sub-genres you prefer.

GroundZero Salem - Speaking of eclectic, this 1.5 year old channel is also recommended to anyone; although what sets it apart from the others featured in the post is probably the extensive coverage of hardcore/punk. He's a very intelligent bloke, too.

Dark Hymns From The Cold North - Eclectic tastes once again here. This chap has two years of making videos under his belt, and has originated a number of topics which have gone on to be discussed by other YouTubers.

Classy Metal - Lonnie has been active for three years now, and his videos are always a pleasure to watch - he comes across as a really nice guy. His collection is huge, not least since he picks up so many grab bags/mystery lots.

Total Metal Rejection - Active for a year, he also comes across as being a really nice guy. Very enthusiastic about metal, brutal death metal in particular; and his enthusiasm will probably rub off on you, even if that isn't your favourite sub-genre.

Infidel Amsterdam - Quite possibly the king of the world of metal YouTubing, the Infidel has been posting for over a decade now. A lot of effort goes into his videos, and they often include comic sketches. Brutal death metal is his specialty.

Scourge Of Vinyl - A musician... and as implied by the channel name, his collection videos tend to focus on death metal and vinyl. He's passionate about the scene, and describes music very well. Active for two years and counting.

The Guttural Monk - Also plays in a band, and his channel has 3.5 years on the clock. Articulate and enthusiastic, and while his videos are quite infrequent you can expect to walk away from them with a lot of new material to investigate.
